سال‌هاست انتشار اسناد طبقه‌بندی‌شده وزارت خارجه آمریکا درباره انقلاب ۱۳۵۷ ایران به تعویق افتاده و در مراجعه به وبسایت مربوطه این یادداشت دیده می‌شود که اسناد فوق در دست بررسی است برای خارج کردن از طبقه‌بندی. این در حالی است که اسناد پس از آن تا حدودی منتشر شده.
