چند اصطلاح پر کاربرد:

I'm hoarse.
صدام گرفته.
I made it up.
الکی گفتم.
I'll let you know‌.
خبرت می‌کنم.
Are you wearing perfume?
عطر زدی؟
We're not on speaking terms.
با هم قهریم.

راهکار افزایش نمره Speaking

خودتون فکر میکنین چقدر تند تند و بدون توقف حرف میزنن؟

ولی اینطوری هم نیست!

اونها یه چیزی بلدن که اگه شما هم یاد بگیرین مثل اونها میتونین حرف بزنین.

کلمات و عباراتی هستند که بهتون فرصت میدن فکر کنین، لغت پیدا کنین و یا حتی اشکالاتتون رو بگیرین.

به این عبارات میگیم Gap Fillers.

یه جورایی شبیه «تکه کلام» توی فارسی که هرکسی برای خودش داره، باید برای خودتون توی انگلیسی هم Gap Fillerهایی رو داشته باشین که ازشون استفاده کنین اما خیلی ی ی ی بیشتر از فارسی.

Well رو میشه به مدلهای مختلف استفاده کرد. مثلا اول جمله وقتی میخوای فکر کنی:

“Well, I guess $20 is a good price for a pair of jeans.”
یا وسط جمله وقتی باز میخوای فکر کنی:
“The apples and cinnamon go together like, well, apples and cinnamon.”

Like وقتی میاریمش یعنی خیلی هم دقیق نمیگیم. مثلا نمیدونیم همسایه چندتا سگ داره اما فکر میکنیم تقریبا ۱۰تاس:
“My neighbor has like ten dogs.”
یا دقیقا مثل Well میخوای زمان بخری و فکر کنی تا کلمه بعدی یادت بیاد

“My friend was like, completely ready to like kick me out of the car if I didn’t stop using the word ‘like’.”

Actually اینم برای شروع جمله و فکر کردن خیلی خوبه:
“Actually, pugs are really cute!”
یه کلمه شبیهش هم هست Literally و معنیش میشه «یه جورایی»
“Clearly you didn’t see me, even though I was literally in front of your face.”
“You’re not just laughing you’re literally dying from laughter.”

عبارات You know و I mean هم خیلی استفاده میشن و باز فقط برای فکر کردن هستن:
“We stayed at that hotel, you know, the one down the street from Times Square.”
“I mean, he’s a great guy, I’m just not sure if he’s a good doctor.”

وقتی میخوای یه بحث جدید رو شروع کنی میتونی جمله رو با یه So بدون معنی شروع کنی:
“So what are you doing next weekend?”

Two Apples🍎🍏

A lovely little girl was holding two apples with both hands. Her mom came in and softly asked her little daughter with a smile: my sweetie, could you give your mom one of your two apples?

The girl looked up at her mom for some seconds, then she suddenly took a quick bite on one apple, and then quickly on the other. The mom felt the smile on her face freeze. She tried hard not to reveal her disappointment.

Then the little girl handed one of her bitten apples to her mom, and said: mommy, here you are. This is the sweeter one.

No matter who you are, how experienced you are, and how knowledgeable you think you are, always delay judgment. Give others the privilege to explain themselves.

🔴What you see may not be the reality. Never conclude for others.
