Researchers discovered a flaw where attackers can hide instructions inside emails. If Claude for Chrome is asked to summarize a Gmail inbox, it may accidentally reveal sensitive verification codes.

This could put accounts like Slack, X, and Claude at risk. The attack only works if the victim receives the malicious email and asks Claude to read or summarize their inbox.

Yesterday, after Telegram was briefly removed from the Apple App Store.
🤔 Pavel Durov explained that the incident was the result of a coordinated takedown extortion attempt. According to Durov, attackers edited an old message in a public group to insert AI-modified illegal content, making it difficult for group members to notice and report before it was flagged to Apple.

🍏 Durov stated that Apple removed Telegram from the App Store before contacting the company for clarification. He added that Telegram's moderation systems quickly detect and remove illegal content, and that the app was restored to the App Store within hours after the issue was reviewed. He also warned that similar tactics could be used to target any platform that relies on user-generated content.
