Dear Senator ,
I am writing to express me and my family concerns regarding the introduction of the Migration Amendment (Removal and Other Measures) Bill 2024 (the Bill).
I am an Australian citizen who ....We have been living in Brisbane Queensland since ......
توضیح شرایط خصوصیتون و اینکه چطور این قانون میتونه روی زندگی خودتون و افراد وابسته یا خانوادتون تاثیر بزاره
We are quite concerned by the bill’s proposal to ‘blacklist’ entire countries including Iran and prevent their citizens from applying for Australian visas. From a human-centred perspective, punishing people who may wish to work, study in or visit Australia for the actions of their government is punitive – particularly when the relevant countries are non-democratic autocracies. This bill enables the government to discriminate against particular groups, such as Iranians.
If the senate approve this bill on May 7, that means my parents will never be able to apply for tourist visa to visit us and their grandkid. This however is one of the smallest complications as it also stops many talented and skilled Iranians from coming to Australia and contribute to the Australian community. It is evident how much Iranians are contributing to Australia in various aspects and to stop their ability to apply for visitor, student, skilled and many other visas is simply a discrimination and will adversely affect Australia in long term missing on having talented and skilled people from Iran to contribute to their country while also makes Iranian citizens residing here in Australia heartbroken and second thought on staying in Australia.
Australian people can not withstand racism and discrimination of any kind and nor should the respected Senators. This bill is simply banning all Iranian citizens the chance to apply for majority of visa types and come to Australia legally.
Iran government will not be under any pressure to change their opinion on accepting deported Iranians just because of this bill. Iran regime does not care about their own people and for Australian Government to think this Bill will force Iran to change their opinion is simply not effective at all.
I seek your assistance on being our voice in the Senate on May 7, and stand with us against this discriminatory bill.
Yours sincerely,
