- Recent orthopedic surgery (knee replacement)
- Immobility due to surgery
- Family history of DVT (father)
- Poor drug adherence for hypertension

Major Risk Factors for DVT
1. Recent surgery or trauma
2. Immobility
3. Family history of DVT
4. Obesity (BMI > 30)
5. Poor drug adherence for hypertension

Signs and Symptoms
1. Swelling
2. Severe pain
3. Redness

Gold Standard for DVT Diagnosis
Doppler Ultrasound + venogtaphy

Prevention Suggestions
