Five years ago on this very day and hour, we bid each other farewell and our hands parted forever. They left Toronto airport for a journey with no return.
A few weeks later, in two wooden boxes filled with cotton, there were no bodies left, no hands to hold, no fingers to touch, no faces to kiss. I placed my daughter’s favorite doll in her coffin and buried both of my loved ones, Parisa and Reera.
From the day they fired those missiles, life became the very embodiment of struggle, a fight against the murderers, against the vile clerics and criminal revolutionary guards, against anyone, big and small, who fires upon civilian aircraft.
Life shall end with this struggle. With the dream of justice that will one day, become a reality in Iran. Until that day, I will never forget nor shall I ever forgive
